Prof Mills embarks on Central Tour II

Professor John Evans Atta Mills, will from tomorrow, Wednesday, July 23, 2008, begin Phase 2 of his tour of the Central Region.
This tour will take the NDC Leader to Gomoa East and West constituencies, as well as, Abura Asebu Kwamankese and Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam constituencies.

Coming on the heels of the just ended "Tour I", Professor Mills will be staying consistent with his message of investing in people, creating jobs, building a Stronger economy, and running an open, honest and transparent government.
This tour is expected to last five days.

Prof mills chatsProfessor Atta Mills, at a meeting held today at the TUC headquarters with the Steering Committee (17 General Secretaries and members of affiliated unions) of the TUC, pledged that his government will at all times, put the interest of Ghana and Ghanaians first. Prof. Mills on National Awards

I have, after very careful reflection, come to the conclusion, regretfully, that I am unable to accept the award of, Order of The Star-Companion, for which I have been nominated by President John Agyekum Kufuor.

Were I convinced that accepting the award would help promote national unity, reconciliation, social cohesion and also enhance multi-party democracy, I would have wholeheartedly accepted it. However, events following my nomination give me cause to doubt that.
