Electoral Commission vindicates Atta Mills.

- Confirms that voters register bloated....

- NPP's Ohene Ntow, Mac Manu, & Co Silenced.....

Prof Mills

It was never in doubt that NDC Leader and Presidential Candidate, John Evans Atta Mills, the man who has stood his ground and stuck to Hon. John Mahama as his running mate, was going to be vindicated for his exposẻ on what is an unacceptable bloating of the voters register between 2004 and 2004 in some 13 constituencies in the Ashanti Region.
Many were those in the NPP, especially the likes of Ohene Ntow, Mac Manu, “single one” Arthur Kennedy, and the party’s paid serial callers, who excited themselves with using all manner of insulting words to describe the truth that the learned Professor Atta Mills put out. Well, last week Friday, the EC finally put the matter to rest and vindicated Professor Atta Mills, when the Commission came out to admit that its preliminary checks have revealed that the information put out by the NDC Leader and his party is spot-on and that the Commission owns the crazy figures that exist in the 13 constituencies in the Ashanti Region.
As a result of the EC’s tacit admission that there is a lot wrong with the current register, the Commission, in collaboration with the major political parties, has formed a nine-member committee to look into the matter and come up with very concrete solutions to the current matter and also work at preventing its recurrence.
Speaking after Friday’s Inter Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting on Friday, Mr. Christian Owusu-Parry, the man who the EC has replaced with the talkative Yorke Aidoo, as the Director of Public Affairs, said the Committee would be made up of two EC members, four representatives of the four main political parties, and one rep each from the Ghana Statistical Service, the West Africa Examinations Council, and the Security Agencies.
It would be recalled that just as Professor Mills began his recent nationwide tour in the Central Region to announce his “resurrection from the dead”, the NDC Leader, after a thorough check of the facts available to him, made it public that between the 2004 general elections and the 2004 District Assembly elections, certain constituencies in the Ashanti Region, including, Nsuta Kwaman, Ejisu Juabeng, Kwabre East & West, Asante Akim North & South, grew their voter population by over 100%.
By that happening, Ashanti Region alone grew its voter population by almost 700,000 votes; a very outrageous growth by any stretch of the imagination.
The truth, it is said, hurts, and it is as clear as daylight that the NDC Leader spoke nothing but the truth but because it hurt the NPP so much because they were hoping to benefit from such a nation-wrecking agenda, they chose the route of insults as the best way out of their pain.
Via the admission of the guilt by the EC, the NDC Leader, Professor Atta Mills, has once again proven to Ghanaians and the world at large that he is a person who chooses his words carefully and that at every point in time when he speaks in the direction of the 2008 election, it is because he wants nothing but a free a fair election which will not give room for any bloodletting after the results have been declared and that he is neither a “doomonger” nor an “irresponsible politician” as Kufuor and Ohene Ntow respectively, would use their ignorance to try and propagate.
