Mills, Mahama Reduce NPP World Bank To Rural Bank.

Airport To Be Upgraded To International Status

Prof @ KumasiWhen a group of politicians lie their way to power, renege on all their promises, and use lies and subterfuge to oil their propaganda machinery, the end result is what Kumasi is doing to the NPP.
Kumasi, a traditional stronghold of the ruling NPP, where the likes of Richard Anane and Kwame Addo-Kufuor were able to bag over 100,000 votes in their constituencies, is no longer the Kumasi of yesteryear.

Kumasi, from what happened when NDC Leader, Professor John Evans Atta Mills and his running mate, Hon John Dramani Mahama visited last Friday, is no longer the Kumasi that propelled Kufuor and his NPP to power. The political thinking in Kumasi has changed drastically and the tide is heavily against the NPP.
At, Manhyia, Subin, Bantama, Suame, Kejetia and other traditional strongholds of the NPP, the political pendulum is no longer swinging in the direction of the failed NPP government. The extreme hardship that Kufuor and his NPP government have hung around the neck of the nation, has hit the people of Kumasi very bad and they are no longer prepared to tow the line of tribal politics.
Indeed, the people of Kumasi are more disappointed in the NPP because it is they who had the greatest expectation as far as the rule of the NPP is concerned. At Suame Magazine, where multitudes gathered to listen to Professor Mills’ message of a Better Ghana, the refrain from the crowds was, “NPP world bank nu adani rural bank”. To wit, the NPP’s world bank has now become their rural bank.
The overwhelming consensus in Kumasi now, is that, the NPP has abused its mandate and there is no way it is going to be renewed.
Professor Atta Mills rolled out his message of a Better Ghana, and told the people how his government will, Invest in People, build a Strong Economy, Expand Infrastructure, and operate an, Open, Honest and Transparent government. Consistent with a policy he unveiled when he met the AGI, Professor Mills promised to implement policies that will make Suame Magazine a major hub for technological and industrial growth.
At the Prempeh Assembly Hall, where the NDC Leader answered questions from the public, Professor Mills promised that his government will upgrade the Kumasi Airport. According to the NDC Leader, it has become very necessary for the Kumasi Airport to get an international status so that the scores of businessmen/women in the Ashanti Region will not have to travel to Accra by road before catching flights outside the country. Profesor Mills also pledged that his government will complete the Boankra Inland Port, to facilitate business growth in the Ashanti Region.
The NPP government has failed the people of Ghana, and there is no denying the fact that its World Bank has now been flattened to a Rural Bank. Professor Mills’ Better Ghana message is touching hearts and minds, and the people of Kumasi are not prepared to be left out of building a Better Ghana.
